Olivia Trangmar and long-time partner Eli Clarkson, both 28, haven’t come back down to earth since moving into their spacious second floor two-bedroom apartment, at Wilton Park – Bewley Homes’s standout new development in Beaconsfield.
They feel completely spoiled by the spaciousness of the layout, the high ceilings; and Bewley’s attention to every single detail, from underfloor heating to clever kitchen cupboard storage, and five-star hotel style bathrooms.
As Olivia explained: “I never expected that our first home would be so ‘grand’ and perfect. Our new apartment is just in a different league when compared to all the ones we looked at before it!
“It has everything we could want – beautiful interior design, open plan living, views, large balcony, and ample private parking (with EV charging points) for us and our visitors.”
The couple say it’s hard to name their favourite room because, ‘they’re all gorgeous’. Eli commented: “The kitchen/dining room does make your jaw drop – it’s like something from a glossy magazine. Being open-plan, it’s lovely that while one of us is cooking, the other can relax and chat in the same room. We can’t fault the overall design – ultra-modern and sleek, and included is a built-in dishwasher and washing machine, with extra clever details such as a cutlery drawer fitted with dividers and cupboards with drawers that slide in and out.”
Both Eli and Olivia said the master bedroom is another favourite: Olivia added: “We love how spacious it is and allows us to fit a super king bed in easily. And the fitted wardrobes are super roomy. Importantly, they also have plenty of lovely shelves for all my handbags!”
“Another big plus point was the underfloor heating. It makes it feel so cosy walking around – total luxury! Being on the second-floor we do love the feeling of being away from everything and yet at the same time, we feel completely connected.”
“Having large windows, in every room, makes our apartment even lighter and lifts the space. We love being able to see the youngsters playing football in the nearby park every Sunday from our window – it’s so sweet! Next summer, we’re going to have a table and chairs out on our balcony for cocktails and socialising with friends. It faces west, so we get the evening sunshine after work.”
Olivia added: “It’s an exciting time buying your first home, but it can feel incredibly daunting. Being local, I was the one doing the searching, so it was a bit overwhelming trying to find properties that would work not just for me and Eli, but also for my mother, who is disabled, to visit.
Initially, I looked at houses, but nothing was suitable. I spotted Wilton Park on Rightmove and after chatting with Mum, made an appointment to go and view. This apartment tops everything, but it is also easily accessible for Mum. The open-plan layout, wide doors and private lift access are ideal.”
Prior to visiting Wilton Park, Olivia had not had the most positive experience house hunting, finding the process ‘quite scary and intimidating’. But from the moment Olivia met Maggie from the sales team at Bewley’s site office, her experience could not have been more different. “I felt welcomed and special, and so well looked after – nothing was too much trouble.
“That initial interaction gave me more confidence and enthusiasm about the buying experience. It added to the excitement when I saw the apartment – I had real butterflies and couldn’t take the smile off my face. With Maggie, I didn’t have to put on a poker face, she was as just as excited for me!”
Eli commented: “Throughout our buying journey, the Bewley sales team have been there for us, helpful and supportive. They gave us £2,000 towards our legal expenses and were actually so pleased for us, that it has made us love our new apartment home even more!”
Location-wise, Olivia focused her property search around Hedgerley where she lived with her Mum and works as a teaching assistant in a local school in the village. Partner, Eli, who is a project manager, had changed jobs to be in Reading, recently moving from Tunbridge Wells in Kent.
Eli said: “We absolutely love Beaconsfield! My favourite cafe is Fego’s, which we have been going to for years and now it’s on my doorstep. We also visit the White Horse pub in the old town, as well as nights out at The Swan (5 minutes from us) – we can even walk it. The Crazy Bear is always fun for us to have a cheeky cocktail. There are endless amounts of restaurants and bars that we just love. Beaconsfield is a very sociable area and full of life. That’s what makes living at Wilton Park so perfect, we have a cool stylish gorgeous apartment in a peaceful spot, yet we are close and within walking distance to the buzz.”
Wilton Park is only a mile from the centre of Beaconsfield and with rail services taking just 23 minutes into London Marylebone it’s a commuter hotspot. The prime location offers an excellent lifestyle with restaurants, cafés and shops, and outstanding state and independent schools.
Wilton Park offers 2, 3 & 4 bedroom homes available from £715,000 and 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments from £425,000.
