Staff at Bewley Homes donned their festive jumpers in support of Hampshire and Berkshire based charity Sebastian Action Trust today.
Bewley organised a Christmas Jumper Day at its offices near Tadley in Hampshire and around its developments in aid of the charity with employees making a donation for the privilege of wearing their favourite brightly coloured knitwear.
Over 100 staff took part in the initiative and raised £500 (check) for the charity known for its invaluable support for families who have children with life-limiting illnesses.
Angela Terrett, HR Manager at Bewley Homes, said: “We came together as a team at head office and on site to raise awareness and money for Sebastian Action Trust. It’s a great to see so many people support the initiative and raise over £500.”
Hazel Bedford, Chief Executive Officer at Sebastian’s Action Trust, expressed the charities gratitude to Bewley, adding: “On behalf of Sebastian’s Action Trust, I want to extend our thanks to the Bewley team wearing Christmas jumpers to raise valuable funds for our charity. This money will really support our mission to be here for families of seriously-ill children.
“With support from businesses like Bewley, we can continue our mission to bring joy, comfort and support to children and families navigating the complexities of life-limiting illnesses.”
Over the year, Bewley has raised nearly £50,000 for Sebastian Action Trust by hosting a golf day in the summer and staff completing the Three Peaks Challenge.
