Second Bewley Homes' Buy for young family

24 May 2016

After selling their first Bewley Homes’ property, a Berkshire family has bought again with the renowned house builder, this time at its popular Cavendish Park development in Wokingham. Lured to Cavendish Park by its fantastic location and investment potential, the Donato family chose an off-plan property, knowing they were purchasing a home built to the highest standards. With house prices in Berkshire up 10% on the previous year and 23% on the 2013 level of £306,435, their investment is certain to live up to its potential.

Confident in the quality of their new home, the Donato family say they prefer the clean, crisp and modern design of a new build Bewley Homes’ property. Jenni Donato says the extra cost of redecorating discouraged her family from buying a traditional-style property; “The other option open to us was to buy an older property where we would have to completely redecorate. The other houses we considered needed a new kitchen and bathrooms and we just weren’t in a position to do all that building work while raising a young family.”

Jenni says the decision to buy off-plan at Cavendish Park was made easy because they were living in Blackberry Gardens, another Bewley Homes development only a short drive away: “The first time we bought with Bewley Homes, everything went so smoothly. They have a very good reputation for build quality and when we moved into our first home there were virtually no difficulties, so we were confident in buying another new build off-plan. That’s what we like about new build properties – they’re clean, crisp and modern and you can personalise them anyway you like.”

Looking ahead to when her family settles into their new home, Jenni says the house and its location provides ample opportunity for her family to grow; “There’s lots of greenery and a park for children, which is great for our toddler. One of the things that immediately impressed us is just how open and spacious Cavendish Park is and that the houses aren’t very close together. We are near to friends who have children of a similar age and it’s an excellent area for schools. We wanted to stay in Wokingham because the closest primary school and pre-school are very well rated by Ofsted.”

Cavendish Park has a selection of three and four bedroom homes remaining, with prices starting from £475,000. The development is just over thirty miles from central London and is well connected by road. The M4 is just five miles away and links to the M25. Cavendish Park also is only minutes away from Wokingham train station and there is a frequent rail service to London. There are also a number of bus routes to the neighbouring towns: Reading, Bracknell and Camberley.
