Rory has found his happy place at Reading Gateway

16 Mar 2020

After searching for a new home for over a year, it was love at first sight when Rory Cantellow paid a visit to Bewley Homes’ new apartments at Reading Gateway.

Dad-of-one Rory explained that he had been looking for a dream home after going through a divorce. “I knew I wanted a new build but nothing felt right,” he explained. “I was considering a development on the other side of Reading but I work in Newbury and I didn’t want to sit in grid-locked traffic every day.

“I knew Reading Gateway was in a good location, just off junction 11 of the M4, and I liked the fact that it had a supermarket a few minutes’ walk away, plus a Nando’s!

“I originally went to look at a coach house, but then heard that the apartments were coming on the market soon afterwards. I liked the idea of living in an apartment so I decided to wait.”

Rory, who works in IT, was immediately struck by Reading Gateway’s show apartment and made his decision to buy at the Imperial Way site there and then. “It was love at first sight,” he said. “I just knew that this was where I wanted to be. I really liked the layout and loved the light coming through the windows in the living room; it was full of energy.”

The 47-year-old added that the customer service he received from Aly Nurmo in the marketing suite was part of the reason he chose to buy at Reading Gateway. “I couldn’t have asked for more,” he said. “He was brilliant.”

Now he has settled into his apartment, Rory says he hasn’t once regretted his decision. “I come home from a day at work and I can just relax,” he said. “It’s also a great environment for my 11-year-old son Xander; he brought his Labradoodle puppy over the other day and I could see they felt right at home.”

He added: “I absolutely love it. I couldn’t be happier.”

Reading Gateway currently offers a selection of two bedroom apartments and coach houses, with prices starting at £280,000. Incentives including part exchange and Help to Buy are available subject to terms and conditions.

Purchasers will also be able to take advantage of the Bewley Bond. This initiative is aimed at helping customers reserve a new property months ahead of schedule, minimising the stress of the moving process. Amongst other incentives, the buyer will be able to reserve their new home for just £500 and receive up to £1,000 plus VAT towards legal fees.

Meanwhile, they’ll benefit from £500 in vouchers with which they can personalise their new home.

Founded in 1991, independent developer Bewley Homes has sites across Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Surrey. For more information about Reading Gateway, click here or call 0118 321 4795.
