A newly-married couple are enjoying their honeymoon period in their own spacious Bewley Homes townhouse at Jubilee Meadows in Hersham.
Nick and Clare Bromhead, who both work at a prestigious London hotel, are the proud owners of a three-bedroom property spread over three floors, with lots of flexible living space. Nick, 34, explained that the couple had been living in a ‘studio plus’ apartment in west London before their move to Surrey at the end of March.
“We’d lived in our flat in Chiswick for four years and had outgrown it,” said food and beverage manager Nick, who married Clare in September. “We wanted somewhere with more space and where we could start a family, in a commutable area so we could easily get to work.
“We decided to go for a new build; a friend of ours had recently bought one and had given us positive reviews. Because we’re both so busy with our jobs, we just didn’t have the time to spend on an older house.”
Nick and Clare whittled down their property search to Jubilee Meadows and another development in Maidenhead. “We found we could get more space for the same money here,” said Nick. “We also loved the town house element and that it has both an en-suite and a bathroom. The house is also very well built with a better set-up than others we’d seen; we’ve got two living spaces which we really like. It also has an excellent finish.”
The couple can walk to Walton-on-Thames Railway Station in 11 minutes, while their train journey into central London takes just 25 minutes in the morning. Nick said: “We have a saying in the industry, which is ‘door to floor’. From our door to the floor at work, it’s an hour which is fantastic.”
Nick praised the Bewley sales team for the seamless house-buying process that he and Clare enjoyed. “They were very informal, and we didn’t feel like we were pushed into making any decisions,” he said. “It was all so natural and simple, and the after-care has been great.”
