Newlyweds beat post wedding blues with move to Bewley’s Bellmount View

Some people don’t do anything by halves and Sophie and new husband Simon Floyd are a fine example. The week after getting married, the newly-weds moved into their four-bedroom home at Bellmount View, built by Bewley Homes in Faringdon, Oxfordshire.

Sophie, commented: “Family and friends kept asking if we’d had the wedding blues after such a wonderful day, but the honest answer was ‘no’, because moving into our dream home just kept the excitement going!”

The couple bought their four-bedroom detached house priced at £495,000 and absolutely love it. The open-plan layout and accommodation gives them the space they craved, particularly having lived in a one-bedroom annexe at Simon’s parents’ home after they had sold their first home in Swindon.

Sophie added: “We were really lucky to be able to have the option to move in with Simon’s parents after selling, but there were always queues for the washing machine! Nothing beats having your own home and we are just thrilled to have so much space in our new home, which includes our own utility room for the washing!”

What has really pleased Sophie and Simon is the level of care they’ve received from the Bewley sales team on site. Simon said: “Danielle was amazing from start to finish; nothing was too much trouble, and the team went above and beyond to make sure we had the best homebuying experience. It’s made us feel so good about buying our new home.”

Sophie explained how the team have gone above and beyond. “When Simon, who’s not a DIYer, accidentally drilled through a pipe, all we had to do was call the Bewley sales team and that same day they sent a someone to come and repair and re-decorate,” said Sophie.

The couple are equally enthusiastic about, ‘the outstanding quality of the build and interior finish, and the generosity of Bewley when it comes to upgrade of worktops, flooring and including lots of extras.’ Sophie said: “We got to choose from Bewley’s mood boards, which meant we were able to create interiors that were bespoke to us. It felt like having our very own interior designer.”

Simon discovered Bewley’s development at Bellmount View by chance on Rightmove. The couple already knew they wanted a bigger home with an integral garage and good-sized home to share with their Cockapoo – Milo. Already familiar with the area, Sophie said: “My parents are in Chippenham, Simon’s are near Swindon, and we have friends between there and Oxford. My job as an account manager for an oil company is home based, but Simon’s role in recruitment involves commuting to Bristol three days a week, so having such good access to the M4, makes living in Faringdon really convenient.

Simon said: “We couldn’t have wished for a better place to starting our married life in such a lovely home and in a beautiful area. We’re looking forward to hosting friends and family and making use of the great entertaining space and exploring all the beautiful countryside walks with Milo.”
