For the month of November, a number of staff from across the business at Bewley Homes are growing moustaches and using them as a talking point to raise money for the Movember Foundation.
The Movember Foundation, which has to date raised over £400 million, is committed to saving and improving the lives of men affected by prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems.
Nathan Sheridan, Senior Surveyor, who organised the Movember initiative at Bewley this month, said: “We have decided to raise money for a charity close to us all, The Lighthouse Charity, which provides emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support to the construction community and their families.
“We will be carrying out other fundraising events during the month, as well as in my case trying to actually grow a moustache) to build as many donations and as much awareness, as we can. Any donations would be hugely appreciated! We have currently raised over £2,150 and we are aiming to hit £3,000.”
Andrew Brooks, Managing Director at Bewley, said: “Well done to all the team who are growing their ‘taches to raise money and awareness of this very important charity which Bewley has supported for a number of years.
