30 Mar 2022

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Hungerford were given a guided tour of the latest affordable homes being completed by Bewley Homes at its Lancaster Park development on Salisbury Road.

Andrew Brooks, Managing Director of Bewley Homes, showed Councillor Simpson and Councillor Winser around a two bedroom home, which was just undergoing some finishing touches, pointing out some of the special features including electric vehicle charging points.

Sovereign Housing Association will be taking ownership of the latest affordable homes which will soon be occupied by local people.

The Mayor of Hungerford, Councillor Helen Simpson said: “We were impressed with the size and build of the two-bedroom homes which are pepper potted around the development and all fitted with EV chargers.”

Andrew Brooks, Managing Director at Bewley Homes, said: “It’s always very satisfying to hand over affordable homes to our partner housing association. Recently, I had the privilege to show the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Hungerford around the latest affordable homes at our Lancaster Park development.

“The Mayor and Deputy were both very impressed with the space, quality and attention to detail and they couldn’t see the difference between the private and affordable homes on site. It was very satisfying feedback for the Bewley team.”
