Life for Megan Haines and Michael Stephenson has been a whirlwind over the last two years having first moved in together and then buying their first home a year later.
The pair used the pandemic lockdown to save for a deposit to buy their three-bedroom new home at Bewley Homes’ Bellmount View in Faringdon, Oxfordshire.
With the support of the ‘amazing’ sales advisor at Bewley Homes, Danielle, who guided them through the Help to Buy scheme, they moved into their perfect home at the beginning of this year and are now loving their new home lifestyle.
The couple have been overwhelmed by the whole Bewley Homes’ buying experience as Megan, 29, a respiratory physiotherapist, explains: “I can’t recommend the whole experience highly enough and we are looking forward to spending at least the next decade in our lovely new home. It’s great quality, and everyone is so friendly in the development – it’s has a real community feel.”
Michael Stephenson, 30, a project manager, added: “It was a big test for us as we had just taken the plunge and started living together in a tiny flat, but we quickly knew that we wanted to buy our own home together, so we started to save.”
Megan described the first moment of walking into a Bewley home: “The minute we walked through the door, we immediately loved it. The layout was perfect, and it was flooded with natural light. It had great views, three bedrooms and it had a garden for our Labrador, Rufus to play in.
“We didn’t think we could afford it at first and looked at a two-bedroomed house which was lovely, but our heart was set on a three-bedroom home. So, we were thrilled when the amazing sales advisor, Danielle at Bewley Homes, helped us with our finances, showed us how ‘Help to Buy’ works and we realised we could afford the three bedroomed home.”
Megan has been sourcing furniture, the spare room is already her creative crafting space and Michael’s Lego passion. Michael explained: “We are taking our time and getting to know the space. It’s great fun and lovely to live in our dream home.”
The collection of homes at Bellmount View includes two, three, four-bedroom properties with prices ranging from £325,000 to £535,000 from the garden village collection.
Elaine Stratford, Sales and Marketing director at Bewley Homes, commented: “It’s wonderful to hear these stories from customers whose lives have been so changed for the positive. Bellmount View is fantastic development which already has a lovely community feeling.
“This part of Oxfordshire is a great choice for families with fantastic nurseries and schools nearby as well plenty of other important amenities. It benefits from excellent transport links with easy access to the M40 and fast rail links into London.”
