Buyers invited to Help to Buy event at Reading Gateway

26 Feb 2019

A Help to Buy information event is being held at the popular Reading Gateway development on March 2.

Bewley Homes is holding the session at the Imperial Way site for those who would like to find out more about the Government scheme. Experts will be on hand to answer questions, while an independent financial advisor will talk visitors through their mortgage options.

Elaine Stratford, Sales and Marketing Director of Bewley Homes, said: “Help to Buy is a fantastic incentive, which helps both first time buyers and current homeowners looking to move into a brand new property. Through the scheme, the Government lends the purchaser up to 20 per cent of the cost of their new home*. That means they need just a 5 per cent cash deposit and a mortgage of 75 per cent.

“The 20 per cent loan is interest free for the first five years, so it really is a fantastic way of securing a dream home now. We hope to see lots of prospective Reading Gateway residents on March 2 where they can ask any further questions they may have.”

Currently, there is a selection of three and four-bedroom terraced houses and two-bedroom apartments available at Reading Gateway, along with a three-bedroom semi-detached property. Prices start at £340,000. The development is just 3.5 miles from the centre of Reading with its excellent amenities and transport links.

Bewley Homes is also offering a tailor-made incentive package during the month of February. Through this, buyers are given up to £10,000, subject to the stage of construction, to spend on either stamp duty, fitted carpets or turf to the rear garden, where applicable. For more information, contact the Reading Gateway sales team on 0808 173 0004. The marketing suite is open every day.
