Bewley Homes hosted a group of students and their tutors for a tour a tour of one of its developments to provide a practical insight to the workings of a live site.
The students from Gosport College, aged 16-18, studying carpentry and multi trades, were taken around Bewley’s Bishops Garden in Wickham, Hampshire, and were shown the different stages of build – from foundations to completed house.
Bewley Site Manager, Rick Heaver, wo took the students around the site, commented: “It was great to see the enthusiasm and engagement. As a company we are determined to offer this opportunity whenever we can.”
Andrew Brooks, Managing Director at Bewley Homes, added: “Having cut my teeth on Bewley construction sites at an early age, I’m always pleased to see young people given the opportunity to see a live development. The next generation coming through into the industry need continued encouragement and we hope to see many of them on Bewley sites in years to come.”
