Firsthand knowledge of Bewley Homes’ reputation for build and quality was the deciding factor for Miah Boxhall and Reece Coker to search no further for a new build home.
The couple have just moved into a three-bedroom semi-detached home at Watership Place, one of the award-winning housebuilders Garden Village Collection.
The couple were set on buying a new build house, within easy reach of Basingstoke, where Miah is employed by a large insurance company and Reece works for an F1 engineering company in Newbury.
Like many other first-time buyers, the couple’s property search began on Rightmove. They were already familiar with Bewley Homes’ build quality and style of development, as they had seen Bewley’s Centenary Fields development in Bramley, the village where Miah’s family live.
Miah explained: “When we looked at Bewley’s development in Bramley, only larger four and five-bedroom homes were available. Both Reece and I loved the look of the properties and the way the development was on a small scale, beautifully laid out and landscaped.”
Reece added: “Watching Bewley’s development in Bramley go through various stages of construction to completion, gave us a firsthand hand view of the way they build their collection of individual homes. We could see the investment and overall attention to detail that goes into creating really well-designed and carefully built homes. From that point on, we were absolutely certain that we wanted a life in a Bewley home.”
The couple fell in love with a Kingsclere at £374,950 at Watership Place which ticked off all their must-haves, including ample parking with a drive for two cars and a good sized secluded garden. Miah commented: “We loved the clever design of the hallway and the incorporation of storage space. We’re lucky to have a south-facing garden – totally private and not overlooked. For us, it’s the perfect house – three bedrooms and an ensuite, with another bathroom upstairs and a cloakroom downstairs. We’ve loved choosing high-quality flooring and tiles and have gone for a neutral palette so we can have fun adding colour later.”
“Aside from this being a lovely area in a pretty small town with plenty going on and the local amenities, like pubs, cafes and shops all within walking distance, you are perfectly located to jump on the local train from Whitchurch to London Waterloo in under an hour or head anywhere via the A34 and M3,” said Reece.
Reece added: “The entire feel of Watership Place is not like a bog-standard development. From the moment you arrive, you notice there are no cars parked on the roads and the houses have really attractive individual styles. Bewley has made sure the landscaping, within and surrounding the development, has been cleverly designed, making the Watership Place village feel established and desirable.”
