Guide Dogs UK, a sight-loss charity, has got off to a very paws-itive start to its fundraising target at its annual Family Fun Day in Reading by securing the sponsorship of local award-winning housebuilder Bewley Homes.
Bewley Homes, based near Tadley, has taken the title role to help further boost the fundraising efforts on the day and raise awareness for this special charity.
The event, to be held on Saturday 1st October from 12-4pm on Burghfield Common, is free to enter and will feature a pet dog show, guide dog demonstrations, children’s activities, and stalls with local crafts for sale.
Denise Clark, Community Fundraising Relationship Manager, at Guide Dogs, said: “Our huge thanks to Bewley Homes for helping us get off to a great start in our fundraising efforts. This will be a fantastic day with so many activities for people to come along and watch.”
Peter Carpinelli, Operations Director at Bewley Homes, added: “We have supported Guide Dogs for a number of years and are fully behind the valuable work the charity does to help blind and partially-sighted people live fulfilling, independent lives. I’m sure many local people will enjoy the day!”
