Adventurous staff from Bewley Homes are gearing up to take part in the Housebuilder Challenge 2022 and conquer the Three Peaks Challenge raising thousands of pounds for charity in the process.
The Housebuilder Challenge, now in its fourth year, has raised over £400,000 for the Youth Adventure Trust which supports vulnerable young people to build better futures for themselves through a programme of outdoor activity and adventure.
The challenge will see 10 Bewley staff hiking 20 miles and tackle the three highest peaks of the Peak District on Friday 23 September.
Simon Taphouse, Commercial Director at Bewley Homes, said: “We are all looking forward to taking on the 20-mile route through some of the most iconic mountains in the UK. It’s going to be a challenging day with what we suspect will be less than ideal weather conditions.”
“We would like to raise as much money as possible for the Youth Adventure Trust and we are calling on suppliers, subcontractors and fellow Bewley staff to support us,” added Simon.
All donations will be used by the Youth Adventure Trust to give vulnerable 11–15-year-olds the help they need to face their challenges. The charity works with the young people for three school years, providing one to one support alongside a programme of outdoor adventure which helps to build resilience, develop confidence and learn skills which will last a lifetime.
