Award winning housebuilder, Bewley Homes, has once again teamed up with Faringdon Farcycles to sponsor the cycling club’s charity ride – Le Tour – on Saturday 9 July
Over 500 riders, of all ages, will take part in the ‘event’ taking in the beautiful scenery of the Cotswolds over routes of 30 to 80 miles.
Le Tour was awarded the Queens’ Award for Voluntary Service last year and this charitable initiative will help build sustainable, inclusive transport for families in the area to enjoy.
Bewley Homes continues its ‘Bewley Backs Bikes’ campaign which as launched as part of the
company’s 30th anniversary last year to promote safe cycling, healthier lifestyle and mindfulness.
Elaine Stratford, sales and marketing director at Bewley Homes, said: “We are once again delighted to sponsor Le Tour de Farcycles. It mirrors many of the key aims of our ‘Bewley Backs Bikes’ campaign. We wish everyone taking part in this fundraising ride all the best and have a great day.”
Bewley Homes launched its new Garden Village Collection of homes in Faringdon last year and wanted to continue to support local community groups.
Syoerd Vogt, founding member and one of the event organisers for the Tour de Farcycles, said: “We are very pleased Bewley Homes has agreed to be the main sponsor of our popular event again this year. It makes a big difference to have a corporate sponsor.
“Farcycles is a charity that lobbies for cycling infrastructure improvements and attempts to influence policymakers on cycling investment. We regularly get involved in projects that facilitate and encourages cycling and sustainable transport.”
