Bewley Homes has been shortlisted for two prestigious national awards. From hundreds of entries, the top-rated housebuilder is in the running for ‘Building a culture of innovation initiative’ award and Sales and Marketing Director, Elaine Stratford, has been nominated for a ‘Business Culture Leadership’ award.
The Business Culture Awards have been designed for forward-thinking organisations as a way to celebrate work which sets up its employees to succeed and recognise how its staff’s employment experience is fundamental to business performance.
Bewley has received positive praise from the industry over the last couple of years with a number of initiatives that supported its staff during tough periods. This has included paying the difference in staff pay during furlough to make sure they didn’t lose out, and it was one of the first housebuilders to introduce a cost-of-living bonus to all staff to help with increase in household energy costs.
Andrew Brooks, Managing Director at Bewley Homes, commented: “Culture is a very important area of our business and we put it at the forefront of everything we do at Bewley. We are delighted for Elaine and the company to be recognised for these prestigious national awards which have been won by some very well-known companies in the past.”
Andrew added: “For over 30 years we have combined our family business values with national disciplines which has served us well. We launched our Pride of Bewley Awards this year which sets out to recognise valued external partners, suppliers, consultants and contributors, as well as our internal staff. I’m delighted to report that it’s been extremely well received, and we will host our own prestigious awards night later this year.”
Elaine Stratford, Sales and Marketing Director at Bewley Homes, said: “Our business culture underpins how engaged our staff are with the company. The Bewley sales team operates on mutual respect, courtesy and care for each other’s wellbeing, both inside and outside work. ‘Team Bewley’ are encouraged to ‘bring their weather to work’ – living by what they deeply value and supporting each other every day to be the best they can be and deliver a fantastic customer experience.”
The Business Culture Awards will be hosted by top class compere Reverend Richard Cole on Wednesday 5 October at the DeVere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
