Sales and Marketing Director Elaine Stratford represented Bewley and the women within the business, by being short listed for the ‘Woman of the year’ at the prestigious Women in Housing Awards on Monday evening at a glittering event attended by over 800 guests in Manchester.
Elaine was joined at the event by colleagues, Angela Terrett Head of HR, Lucy Gray Marketing Manager, Chloe Willman Head of Customer Service, and David Oakey Marketing and Sales Executive, when she proudly received a certificate naming her as a ‘Finalist’ in this respected category.
The awards annually celebrate the wide range of female leaders across the industry, who are recognised for their management style, success within their area of the business, team playing and innovation within the housing sector.
Elaine commented: “To be a finalist for the Woman of the Year category within the Women in Housing Awards was a huge honour and it is of course, a reflection of the entire sales and marketing team at Bewley. Without my colleagues our successes would not be possible and the morale they bring into their roles every day is quite exceptional.
“As a director a key part of my role is to mentor and inspire others, which is something I, and my board director colleagues work hard to achieve at Bewley. This was also an opportunity to represent my female colleagues in Bewley and across the industry, encouraging those at earlier stages in their careers to work hard and to be confident in their abilities. This remains an industry which offers ever widening opportunities for females; we have site labourers, planning managers, sales executives, marketers, land managers, HR, and many other roles within Bewley held by female colleagues.”
Andrew Brooks, Managing Director at Bewley Homes, added: “Elaine flew the flag for Team Bewley last night and it was fantastic achievement to get shortlisted. We have a fantastic team who work so hard across the business – from our reception to those working out on site.”
