Bewley Homes’ show home at Lancaster Park was the ideal location for the company’s announcement to extend its two-year sponsorship of Hungerford Town Football Club for another year.
The agreement, which kicked off at the start of the 2020/21 season, will now run until the end of 2022/23. It’s a much-needed boost for the club whose revenues have been hit hard over the last 12 months by Covid restrictions on fans in the ground and sponsors pulling out.
Chairman of Hungerford Town Football Club, Patrick Chambers, said: “It’s been a tough time but, with the help of sponsors like Bewley Homes, we are nearly through it. It’s a tremendous boost to now have their backing for another two seasons.”
Peter Carpinelli, Operations Director at Bewley Homes, added: “It’s the right thing to extend the sponsorship for an additional season after a Covid affected the first year. We are fully supportive of The Crusaders and understand how important the club is to local people and the community. We are looking forward to coming to the home matches next season and supporting the team.”
Bewley Homes has also pledged to pay for, and install, a defibrillator at the ground which is being organised for next season.
Peter showed Patrick around the Lancaster Park development which offers a range of 3, 4 and 5 bedroom properties that have been created as part of Bewley’s Garden Village Collection. Lancaster Park will also boast a dedicated landscaped open space and play areas for residents.
Patrick added: “I was hugely impressed with the show home and the development, as a whole, which has really taken shape recently. Bewley Homes has been synonymous with quality for 30 years and the show home was very impressive.”
Peter added: “Our Lancaster Park development has been selling very well since we launched in January and we are delighted many local people are buying our family homes.”
Local residents, in Hungerford, are also set to benefit, with Bewley Homes contributing more than £1 million for community infrastructure projects and £68,000 towards local open space.
