Planning permission has been granted to developer Bewley Homes in partnership with Wates Developments to build 100 new properties in the market town of Hungerford.
Lancaster Park will be a collection of three, four and five-bedroom homes built to the south of Kennedy Meadow, with dedicated landscaped open space and children’s play areas included in the plans. The site has been named in honour of John of Gaunt, the Duke of Lancaster who owned Hungerford in the 14thcentury.
Bewley Homes’ Managing Director Andrew Brooks said: “We are delighted that planning consent has been granted for Lancaster Park. It is a landscape and design-led scheme delivering a mix of housing design specifically for this development.
“The site is very true to our founding principles of quality in terms of both location and product, and we are sure it will be a valuable addition to the company and Hungerford.”
Lancaster Park lies on the outskirts of the historic market town of Hungerford, with far-reaching views across the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, whilst in close proximity to the M4. The development is set to launch next summer.
