Bewley Homes’ hamper donation gives a boost to children’s charity

16 Dec 2019

Bewley Homes has embraced the season of giving by donating a hamper full of goodies to a fundraising event in aid of a children’s cancer charity.

The developer contributed the Marks and Spencer Beaulieu hamper to the Reindeer Trail in Sherfield-on-Loddon, which was held on Saturday (December 14) in aid of Solving Kids’ Cancer.

The event was organised by the Sherfield Village Green Event Volunteers, with the hamper joining other raffle prizes on the day. Amongst the treats donated were La Vita Sangiovese wine, apple and fig chutney, all butter Cornish biscuits and Italian chocolate.

Along with the reindeer trail, the event on the village green included pig racing, a living nativity, face painting, carol singing and a barbecue. £656.29 was raised for Solving Kids’ Cancer, which supports children with neuroblastoma and their families.

Bewley Homes’ Sales and Marketing Director Elaine Stratford said: “We were very pleased to be able to support the Reindeer Trail, especially because it was in aid of such a fantastic cause. Neuroblastoma can be devastating, and Solving Kids’ Cancer support for those going through it and their families is absolutely invaluable.”

Anna McGeough, Sherfield Village Green Event Volunteer, said: “We were delighted with Bewley Homes’ generous donation of a Christmas hamper for our Reindeer Trail raffle.  Despite a wet and blustery start, the event was well attended. We are very grateful to Bewley Homes for supporting this very worthwhile cause.”

Sherfield-on-Loddon is just a few minutes’ drive from Bewley’s Centenary Fields development in Bramley. Currently, there is a selection of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes available, with prices starting at £334,950.
