Bewley Homes has further strengthened its land and planning team with the appointment of Matt Roberts as Strategic Land Buyer.
Having completed a degree in planning at the University of the West of England, he began his career in strategic land and became a member of the Royal Town Planning institute.
Since then, Matt, 32a, has nearly a decade of experience in the housebuilding industry has spent the last two years at Barratt David Wilson Homes as Strategic Land Manager.
His previous roles included Strategic Land Promoter at Croudace Homes and Planner at Martin Grant Homes.
Matt will oversee the identification, acquisition, and promotion of strategic sites and report into Bewley Homes’ Strategic Land Director, Andy Morris.
Matt said: “This is an excellent opportunity for me at this stage of my career. I’m looking forward to working with the team here on current sites and delivering new and exciting opportunities we hope to secure now and in the coming years.”
Bewley Homes’ Strategic Land Director, Andy Morris, added: “Matt joins at a key stage of our future planning at Bewley. We currently have some major projects underway so growing the team will only help increase our portfolio of future projects.”
Andrew Brooks, Managing Director, added: “We are in excellent shape and have set out a strategy and three-year plan to grow the business in excess of £200m. To support this growth, we have expanded our land team and opened a new office in Swindon to extend our geographical area and operations in the West.
“The focus now is on acquiring suitable land for us to create new communities and we are actively looking for sites which would accommodate anything from 40 to 500 homes.”
