.First Impressions – a wreath on the front door or festive greenery with fairy lights will give your guests a warm welcome the minute they arrive.
.Scent – smells of cinnamon, orange and glove throughout the house will add to that festive feeling. Add scented candles, diffusers or scent sticks that complement each other in key living spaces.
.The Tree – if you’re not using the real thing, invest in a good tree that you will use year after year and opting for a pre-lit tree will save time. Ensure to fluff out branches as much as possible. Use baubles in varying sizes, approximately 80 baubles for a 7ft tree. Tree skirts and tree toppers will add that finishing touch. If opting for a real tree, be sure to secure it well and put the lights on first. Colour coordination sticking to two main colours works well with white lights.
.Garlands – Across a fireplace, sideboard or weaved between your stair rails add that special Christmas touch with a festive swathe of greenery, cones and berries
.The Table – draw your guests to the table with a seasonal centrepiece using foliage, pine cones and candles creating a stylish and elegant focal point.
