Bewley Homes confirms sponsorship of second Guide Dog Puppy
The team at Bewley Homes is delighted to confirm their sponsorship of a second Guide Dog Puppy, following on from the successful graduation of ‘Bewley’, the first Guide Dog Puppy the Berkshire based developer sponsored a couple of years ago.
Using some of the funds from the annual Bewley Homes Golf Charity Day and Auction which took place earlier in the Summer and raised in excess of £28,000, Managing Director Andrew Brooks and Commercial Director, Simon Taphouse presented a cheque for £5,000 to Denise Clark of the Guide Dog for the Blind Association on Tuesday 5 September, in order to fund the initiative.
Andrew Brooks, Managing Director of Bewley Homes, says “All the staff at Bewley Homes are proud to support the Guide Dog for the Blind Association and have chosen the new puppy’s name ‘Holmes’ from a shortlist published at the Bewley Homes Summer Family Party. It is an exceptionally worthwhile cause and one we are delighted to be able to help.”
Denise Clark, Community Fundraising Development Officer for Guide Dog for the Blind Association, adds “Everyone at the charity Guide Dogs is delighted that Bewley Homes has decided to donate £5,000 and choose a name for a second life-changing pup. The first pup, called Bewley, has recently qualified and is now working in Wiltshire with his new owner. On behalf of Guide Dogs I would like to thank everyone at Bewley Homes for choosing to fundraise for our amazing charity. We rely on donations, such as this, to help people living with sight-loss live independent lives.”
