The purchase comes with outline consent for circa 70 properties, which will comprise a diverse selection of property, including 1, 2 and 3 bedroom affordable homes; as well as private units ranging in size from 2 bedroom flats to 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses. Bewley Homes has confirmed it will be submitting a Reserved Matters Application in the New Year.
Andrew Brooks, Managing Director of Bewley Homes, says: “Arborfield has become an exciting, vibrant community and I am delighted that Bewley Homes has been given the opportunity to build new homes within this setting. I am incredibly proud of the high quality, aesthetically pleasing homes we build and delighted that our contribution will help to fulfil the area’s urgent requirement for much needed new homes and add to the new village community which is being created here.”
Sammie Bryans, Development Director at Crest Nicholson, lead developer on the Arborfield Green site adds: “We are really pleased that Bewley Homes will be joining us at Arborfield Green. All developers on the site will be guided by the same Garden Village principles, but having a range of different offers on-site means that not only can we speed up overall delivery, but also we hope that the wider housing mix being created will come together in time to establish a really strong, sustainable community for the future.”
