Bewley Homes has officially broken ground at its new development in Tongham with Site Manager Mark Elliot and Sales Manager Stuart Locke symbolically digging the first sod at the new housing site off Poyle Road.
The development, a Garden Village Collection, has been aptly named Victory Fields as a tribute to two local residents, during WW2, whose courageous feats during a German bombing raid in 1940 earned them both the George Cross, the highest honour bestowed to members of the public.
Bewley is building its popular Garden Village Collection which will compromise of 35 two, three, four and five-bedroom homes and expectation is already building locally.
The new development will offer first time buyers, second steppers, families and downsizers the perfect opportunity to choose a village lifestyle in this semi-rural location.
Elaine Stratford, Sales and Marketing Director, said: “There is already a great deal of anticipation from local people for Victory Fields. This is a fantastic location and we are delighted to be building our Village Garden Collection here in Tongham. More information will be released shortly including anticipated show home launch timescales in the new year.”
