Bewley Homes, an award-winning UK housebuilder with an enviable reputation for customer service, sustainability, and innovation, is pleased to announce the successful completion of the purchase of a prime development site in Bishop’s Green, Hampshire.
The acquisition of this site, with outline planning consent for up to 42 homes (including 17 affordable), marks another milestone in Bewley Homes’ commitment to providing high-quality housing solutions within its core area of operation.
The Bishop’s Green site, nestled in the picturesque Hampshire countryside, offers an excellent opportunity to create a vibrant community while preserving the natural beauty of the area.
The plans for the scheme, off Ecchinswell Road, will include two, three, four and five bedroom homes from Bewley’s acclaimed Garden Village Collection.
With its head office based in Baughurst, Hampshire, Bewley Homes operates across the south (east and west) with current developments located in Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, and Wiltshire.
With a reputation established over the last 30 years and following its Silver Award for Best Medium Sized Builder at the What House Awards last year, Bewley also recently celebrated its sixth consecutive award for Outstanding 5 Star Customer Service. Health and safety are equally high on the company’s agenda, with a Silver RoSPA being achieved this year for its excellence in such an important area of the business.
Land Director at Bewley, Geoff France, said: “We are delighted to have acquired this development opportunity in Bishop’s Green having worked very closely with the land owner, promoter and their agents. This is a testament to our dedication to find the right location to build, not just houses, but thriving communities which encompass a wide range of ages and families whom we find often move to a new Bewley development in different sized homes. This can mean that by being close to one another, they often save on childcare, travelling to visit, and it can help massively with the care of elderly family members if they are living close at hand.”
Bewley Homes’ Managing Director, Andrew Brooks, added: “Against what has been a challenging backdrop for the industry and the economy, Bewley continues to be offered these exciting opportunities across the south-east and to the west. I believe this is due to Bewley being a well-funded private company with a very short line of communication, which enables us to move quickly in securing land investments to support the growth of the business. Furthermore, we are known for building high-quality designed schemes.”
Bewley’s recent land acquisitions have included a flag ship residential development for 80 private homes in Ashton Keynes and planning permissions have been granted in Calne, as well two sites in Alfold and Deepcut in Surrey.
Andrew added: “These recent investments are key to the continued growth of the business and as always, we are looking for more opportunities, whilst many of our competitors seem to have a more pessimistic outlook on land investments.”
Bewley will submit a reserved matters application in the coming months at Bishops Green.
