Bewley Homes announces its latest exciting land purchases in Wiltshire and Oxfordshire

Award-winning housebuilder, Bewley Homes, has announced the successful purchase of two prime development sites in the desirable villages of Holt, Wiltshire and Benson, near Wallingford, in South Oxfordshire.

The acquisition of these sites, which will see a combined 168 new homes being built, marks another milestone in Bewley Homes’ commitment to providing high-quality housing solutions within its core area of operation.

The nine-acre greenfield site in Holt, nestled in the picturesque Wiltshire countryside, has outline planning consent for up to 90 homes (40% affordable), including First Homes, and provides an excellent opportunity to create a vibrant community while preserving the natural beauty of the area.

Over the coming weeks, Bewley will be working up its plans for a reserved matters planning application for this site which will provide a range of two, three, four and -five bedroom homes from its acclaimed Garden Village Collection.

The second site, on Land west of Hale Road, Benson, Oxfordshire, has reserved matters approval for 78 homes (47 private houses, 31 affordable) and a mix of two, three, four and five bedroom homes as well as some apartments. Bewley aims to start building on-site in the summer.

With its head office based in Baughurst, Hampshire, Bewley Homes operates across the south (east and west) with current developments located in Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, and Wiltshire.

With a reputation established over the last 30 years and following its success at the Housebuilder Awards last year, Bewley also recently celebrated its sixth consecutive award for Outstanding 5 Star Customer Service. Health and safety are equally high on the company’s agenda, with a Silver RoSPA being achieved this year for its excellence in such an important area of the business.

Bewley’s recent land acquisitions have included a flagship residential development for 80 private homes in Ashton Keynes, a site in Bishops Green near Newbury and planning permissions have been granted in Wash Water, near Newbury, Calne, in Wiltshire, as well sites in Alfold and Deepcut in Surrey.

Andrew added: “These recent investments are key to the continued growth of the business and as always, we are looking for more opportunities, whilst many of our competitors seem to have a more pessimistic outlook on land investments.”
