Terri Brown had her heart set on reserving a three-bedroom detached home at Bewley’s popular Garden Village Collection at Victory Fields in Tongham, Surrey but because she hadn’t sold her current house felt she’d miss out.
‘Don’t worry’ was the message from the helpful sales team at the development. ‘You can use our Bewley Bond, it’s perfect for your situation’.
Terri, who was one of the first to move into Victory Fields, commented: “As soon as Jo and Lynne explained the benefits of the Bewley Bond and how it benefitted me it was a no-brainer. I signed up immediately and the stress of the whole reservation and move was taken away.”
Terri added: “I’d spoken to other housebuilders in the area and they wouldn’t let me reserve until I had sold my home. But the Bewley Bond allowed me to reserve my home and provided support in selling the house I was living in through its partner part exchange hub. I was concerned, having bought and sold homes several times, including two previous new builds, that I would lose all the control in selling my house. But this was not the case at all. I had complete control and was consulted on all aspects of the sale.
“In fact, I questioned many times ‘what was in it for Bewley to provide such a service?’, and to this day I still don’t know. But it helped enormously in securing the home I wanted.”
Terri added: “As soon as I signed up to the Bewley Bond, they gave me 12 weeks to sell my house. I knew it would sell much quicker. The estate agents, which Bewley helped pay for, were instructed and my house was under offer within 48 hours. The administration of the sale was taken care of by a part exchange company.
“Bewley also recommended, and contributed to, the conveyancers which I used for both the sale and purchase. I also received £500 worth of John Lewis vouchers the day I moved it which came in very useful! Overall, from start to finish, it’s been the smoothest home move I’ve had. I can’t recommend it enough.”
Terri has now moved in with partner Jason and two grown up children and couldn’t be happier.
She added: “I had my heart set on Victory Fields as soon as a sign went up. The size of the development, only 38 homes compared with many of other local new build sites, and location which is surrounded by fields and a small woodland is very appealing. It has a village feel and close to amenities.
“It felt like our home immediately and we are very comfortable here already. I love the layout of the house; it works for us, and it’s flooded with natural light.
“The service from everyone at Bewley has been very good. The sales and aftercare team have provided everything needed to ensure owners can get established in their new homes. This includes demonstrating all the technical aspects of the heating and appliances clearly and information was given about who to contact for what. It’s been the right level of interaction especially considering all the other things people need to do when they move home. The Bewley homeowner portal is very useful too and holds all the documents and manuals you need.”
