Andrew joined Bewley Homes in September 2018 as sales manager. He has amassed over 15 years in the housebuilding industry working for a number of housebuilders including Linden Homes, as well as a spell as new homes sales manager at Romans and Featherstone Leigh Estate Agents.

Since starting at Bewley he has played a leading role in recruiting a strong, experienced sales team across all of its developments that are customer-focused.

Day to day he manages a number of sites throughout the home counties.

Brett has been in property sales for all his career, starting life as a trainee estate agent working his way up to a senior position, before moving across to housebuilding for David Wilson Homes and Barratt Homes.

Brett was recruited by Bewley in 2017 and relishes the opportunity to work for a growing, ambitious company were providing a first-class customer journey is of the upmost importance.

He relishes that no one day is the same as the next with Bewley. His role is hugely varied, one day stood in the middle of a field, the next in a beautiful new show home ready to be launched to the public.

Debbie joined Bewley Homes in 2004 and for all but three years has spent the next 17 years with the company. Fulfilling a vital and specialist role, which is considered unique in the industry, Debbie interacts with external solicitors in the complex nature of conveyancing, nurturing reservations into exchanges often in tight timeframes.

Debbie’s career, in the property sector, began in the early 1980s working for a mortgage provider but she moved into a private practice of a local solicitors as a conveyancing secretary. With hard work, she was promoted to conveyancing assistant while gaining more experience working as an estate agent at the weekend.

While Debbie’s role can be very challenging, she says there is great satisfaction seeing a plot through from reservation to completion.

Sarah has over 25 years’ experience working in the housebuilding industry having occupied a number of senior customer services roles for Taylor Wimpey, Linden Homes and St Georges. She joined Bewley Homes in 2019 and is part of the management team.

Sarah has brought in new systems, initiatives and procedures that have facilitated the company’s ambition to deliver exceptional customer service.

Sarah’s objectives are clear. She continually strives to improve the customer experience, to ensure Bewley retains its 5 Star builder status and to be a leader in customer service at the premium end of the housebuilding industry.

Not many Bewley staff can boast over 35 years in the housebuilding industry – but Ian can! He cut his teeth as a 16-year-old at a Devon based developer and never looked back. Ian has considerable experience working for a number of well-known UK housebuilders – all in senior technical positions.

Ian joined Bewley in June 2010, as technical manager, and was promoted to head of technical in 2018.

His team’s main objective is to deliver information in a timely manner to all departments to achieve company goals, coupled with technical support to the land team to enable new opportunities to be brought forward.

He cites one of his career highlights as being able to influence development and direction for a business he loves working for.

Chris joined the landscape department at Bewley Homes in March 2003. Through dedication and hard work he achieved an SMSTS qualification and was given an opportunity to join the construction department four years later.

Grabbing the opportunity with both hands he didn’t allow the financial downturn in 2008 to send his career off course, occupying a variety of positions and gaining experience as an assistant site manager, forklift driver and crane driver. 

In 2010, he took up an offer to join a small builder and help run new build projects, refurbishments and specification builds for private clients.  But Chris’ heart has always been with Bewley Homes and re-joined as a site manager in 2014.

Chris was promoted to contracts manager in 2020 and is now overseeing five developments throughout Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley region. He is currently working towards his MCIOB accreditation.

Matt joined Bewley in May 2020 at an extremely challenging time for the company while it was preparing to reopen its sales offices and construction sites during the pandemic. He played a key role in making sure systems and processes were in place to keep staff, subcontractors and customers as safe as possible. The HSE actually commended Bewley on its robust Covid measures.

Over the last five years, Matt has worked in senior health and safety advisory roles for a number of leading housebuilders.

He sees his main duty as advising the company directors and managers on all aspects of safety, health and environmental matters to ensure the company complies with its statutory obligations.

Other areas include formulating and implementing policies and procedures, monitoring developments’ health and safety performances, identifying trends, developing actions plans and reporting to the Board.
